Samiat’s dual understanding of legal and commercial imperatives enables her to guide creatives, startups, and corporates through complex regulatory frameworks while unlocking the full commercial potential of their intangible assets.
Beyond IP, she has a solid track record in contract negotiation, debt recovery, and dispute resolution, where she consistently offers practical counsel aligned with clients’ strategic and operational goals.
Prior to joining Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL), Samiat worked with a top-tier commercial law firm, where she managed multi-party IP enforcement projects, coordinated client portfolios, and contributed to policy-level research on Nigeria’s creative economy and IP reform. Her attention to detail, leadership on complex briefs, and clear analytical communication have earned her the confidence of clients across diverse industries.
A passionate advocate for IP awareness and creative rights protection, Samiat actively contributes to thought leadership on emerging trends in entertainment, fashion, and digital content law. She brings to every engagement a rare combination of technical expertise, strategic foresight, and commercial pragmatism qualities that continue to distinguish her as one of the most promising voices in Nigeria’s IP and creative law landscape.
