At Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL), our public policy practice group has been actively working for the past 15 years to establish a new legal framework for the Aviation sector in Nigeria. Our primary goal has been to expand opportunities for Nigerian operators and ensure the passage of the Flying Nigeria Bill into law, to create a huge passenger and cargo market. As part of our efforts, OAL has developed the Fly Nigeria Bill and has been actively advocating for its passage into law. This bill would provide Nigerian carriers with Flag Carrier Status, granting them access to passengers. By implementing the right legal framework, we can propel our local airlines, such as Arik and Air Peace, can take advantage.

OA urges our leaders to prioritize the interests of Nigeria and take the necessary steps to expand our market, ensuring that we are not dominated by foreign entities. It is crucial that we assert our presence and promote the growth of our own aviation industry.
