Emmanuel Agherario is a Senior Associate at Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL), where he plays a central role within the firm’s Dispute Resolution, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and Sports, Entertainment & Technology (SET) Practice Groups. He is widely regarded for his commercially astute approach to legal problem-solving, combining strong litigation capabilities with strategic advisory insight.
His practice spans commercial disputes, regulatory advisory, and sector-specific legal frameworks across both established and emerging industries. Emmanuel has advised and represented financial institutions, multinational corporations, and high-growth enterprises, consistently delivering solutions that are both legally sound and commercially pragmatic.
Prior to joining OAL, Emmanuel enriched his professional experience at other notable law firms in Nigeria, where he developed a foundation in dispute resolution.
- Successfully represented a Tier-1 financial institution in a landmark ₦1.7 billion debt recovery action, achieving a commercially favorable outcome.
- Advised an international technology conglomerate on regulatory entry requirements and compliance strategy for operations in Nigeria.
- Member of the core legal team that successfully mediated a multi-party shareholder dispute within the interior design and lifestyle sector, preserving business continuity and stakeholder relationships.
- Led multiple high-value trademark registration and enforcement mandates for both local and international clients, strengthening brand protection frameworks.
- Provided strategic advisory on ease of doing business in Nigeria to foreign corporate clients, including regulatory structuring and market entry considerations.
- Managed bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings resulting in the recovery of over 400 million in bank debt.
