Oluwasegun Ikuforiji is a versatile legal practitioner and researcher who practises across the firm’s Dispute Resolution, ADR, Governance Advisory, and Environmental Justice Practice Groups. He leverages strong advocacy, negotiation, and research skills to resolve complex disputes and contribute meaningfully to policy development.

He gained early public sector experience at the Kebbi State Ministry of Justice, Civil Litigation Department, during his National Youth Service in 2018, where he appeared alongside the Honourable Attorney General in several high-stakes criminal matters. He commenced active private practice in 2019, building foundational experience in land litigation, chieftaincy matters, election petitions, employment and labour law, matrimonial causes, and the enforcement of fundamental human rights. With significant trial and appellate court exposure, he has secured favourable rulings, orders, and judgments in highly contentious matters through refined courtroom advocacy.

He currently focuses on debt recovery and asset tracing, with notable experience in receivership matters for institutions such as the Bank of Industry and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), as well as several commercial banks. He has also acted as counsel in a number of commercial arbitral proceedings at the Lagos Court of Arbitration, including successfully representing a Nigerian company in sustaining a ₦600 million claim against a multinational corporation.

Beyond his legal practice, Oluwasegun is actively involved in humanitarian and advocacy initiatives. He serves as Legal Adviser to the Busaosowo Foundation, an NGO dedicated to youth development, family support, and national progress. He is also a Climate Justice Advocate under the International Climate Change Development Initiative, and contributes to public discourse as an analyst and social commentator.
